TEXAS Style Cornbread

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl:

3/4 c flour
3/4 c corn meal
3 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 3/4 tsp salt

Mix wet ingredients in a medium bowl:

4 eggs, beaten
1 c sour cream
16 oz can creamed corn
1/2 c vegetable oil

Add the following to the dry ingredients:

2 c sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c green pepper, chopped
1 c onion, chopped

Mix wet ingredients to the dry.

Place into greased 9x13 baking dish and baked in preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes.

Note - ages very well, make a day or two ahead of time.  You may also brown the top in the broiler.
